Spindle Class…Learn how to spin on a supported spindle.

You have a support spindle and fibre but can’t seem to get the hang of creating yarn. So I can offer you the perfect spindle class solution!

I love to teach others how to use a support spindle, and I’m offering you a one-on-one, one-hour spindle class by video. We will pick a time of instruction that works for you. I am confident that you will form a single ply of yarn by the end of the class!

You will learn how to prepare your fibre, create a leader, and create a single yarn ply. In my Facebook group (just for my students), you will learn: How to prepare your singles for plying, what tools I use to ply with, how to use a niddy noddy, and how to set the twist of your yarn. Plus, I will offer some tricks and hints.

Right now, in the shop, I am working on listing some combed tops in the shop.  This combed top is also botanically dyed.  I am thrilled to have mastered not ending up with a big, felted mess!  Yes, that did happen when I first tried, but after many attempts at perfecting the process, I got it to work. So now I can pass on my dye experiences to you. Recently dyed are some combed tops with eastern brazilwood, Hopi sunflower seeds, and chlorophyllin. I still can’t get over the green colour from the chlorophyllin.
