Dyeing With Indigo

Well here are the results from yesterday. I love how the combed top turned out!

I then decided to take my fresh indigo leaves and dye a mini skein. That turned out good but I learned that I need to gather a lot more leaves. So off to the garden I went and I decided to try and dye some wool. We will have to wait for the finished results tomorrow.

The most exciting thing I tried is now simmering in a pot and I can’t wait to share more about this experiment when it has cooled down and I can touch it. I used cochineal, madder, and fresh marigolds.

It truly amazes me what colours nature provides. I don’t see myself ending this journey anytime soon.

Thanks for visiting.
