Bright Side Of Things

Today our weather is unseasonably hot!

The bright side to this heat wave is that my fibre and yarn dry incredibly fast.  This is something that only happens on a rare occasion on Vancouver Island!
Tonight I am mordanting Superwash Merino/Bamboo/Nylon combed top.

…as I write this I’m also holding a stick for Bentley; our Welsh terrier who is three years old. He tends to run the show around here being a terrier!  Do you have a welsh terrier? I’d love to hear your stories.

So back to fibre…

Though I dye with acid dyes (Dharma and Greener Shades) I am also branching out into natural dyes. I’m excited to see where this road takes me! I really have my heart set on dyeing 100% combed top (that will be happening next week when my lingerie bags arrive) and multicolored yarns with plant extracts and indigo from my garden. I can’t wait!

I also have a Yarrow plant too!

Well I better go and turn my pots off and let them cool over night. Have a good evening.
